It seemed to be a very time consuming business travelling for 25 minutes to go to the gym three times a week, spending 30 minutes working out and then another 25 minutes getting home again. There was energy used, but it was mainly the fuel in my car. I did some research about home fitness machines. But the only one I thought would fit the bill for me for no-brain quick cardio-vascular exercise was a treadmill. This seemed an unlikely choice –where would a machine so large actually go? There were two answers to this.
Firstly, a really good place for an exercise machine would be the conservatory. Usually unheated (though with a wall radiator when frosty) this would be just the type of atmosphere for heat-producing exercise. Another good reason for having a treadmill in the conservatory was that as the machine offers fairly mindless exercise I could look out and enjoy the view in the garden and watch the birds on the bird table (when they got over the shock of seeing me). But the machines are really large and they would stick out like a sore thumb.
Then I searched online and found that some machines have space saving technology allowing them to be folded up when not in use. This meant that it could lurk in the corner unnoticed after exercise. They have the same speed and incline programmes for calorie burning and aerobic capacity and can be purchased from around £600.
If you don’t have a conservatory and feel that you would like to have an airy home gym, then get advice from double glazing experts such as SEHBAC to see how it could be designed for your home. [Read More...]

Rowing machines are quite popular for home exercise machines, though those with little space who bought small and cheap models to fold up and put away, tended to get tired of the process very quickly. Rowing machines give one of the most popular cardiovascular exercises and use the muscles groups of the whole body. [Read More...]

Multi-gyms are like having a whole series of exercise machines in one, and one major benefit of some is that they fold up so they can be stored in a home with limited space. Exercises on the multi-gym can increase muscle strength and generally tone a shape your body, and work out all different parts [...]
